data<bodies>water was a three-day process-based exhibition exploring death, dying, and digital afterlives through the material consequences of datafication. The project examined questions of existence, decay, preservation, and what remains when human activity becomes data. It was realised in dialogue with CAD+SR, researcher Anu A. Harju, and a wider international network of artists, researchers, and collaborators.My contribution included the participatory Data Confession Booth and an Image Intervention Workshop based on discarded photographs and found visual materials, both developed together with researcher Anu A. Harju, as well as an informational installation on existing and planned data centres in Finland. The textile works Wear Your Fear were also presented as part of the intervention.
